The Vampire Clan Murders: Land Between the Lake National Recreation Area
In 1996, a troubled 16-year-old boy named Rod Ferrell believed he was a 500-year-old vampire. He formed a small group of local teens in Murray, Kentucky obsessed with vampire roleplaying, blood drinking, and occult beliefs. The roleplaying took a serious turn when Rod broke into the home of Richard Wendorf and Naomi Ruth Queen - the parents of clan member Heather Wendorf - and beat them to death. What followed became a media sensation, and has been remembered as the Vampire Clan Murders.
