Danielle

Growing up surrounded by the New Hampshire wilderness, Danielle always possessed a love and affinity for the outdoors. In 2011, a vacation to Yellowstone and a fateful visit to the book section of the visitor center turned out to be the seed that eventually grew into National Park After Dark. The book Death in Yellowstone combined all of her greatest interests—morbid history, a beloved national park, and the stories that fill hundreds of years of park history. Never one to shy away from the dark side, her favorite tales to share center around stories that make us cringe yet leave us wanting more.

Originally from New England but not one to be fenced in, Danielle has spent the majority of her adult life moving around the country and traveling the world.  Over her career, she has worked as a veterinary nurse, wolf caretaker and educator and now podcasting - like a true Sagittarius she has reinvented her life every few years. Often described as the “woo woo” friend, she is a firm believer in standing by your interests and keeping an open mind, no matter how “strange” - she is an unwavering believer in the paranormal, life beyond physical death, extraterrestrial beings - and of course, Bigfoot.

As co-host of National Park After Dark, Danielle is able to share stories and create conversation about the things she values the most - the outdoors, conservation and the power of nature.

My favorite stories to tell of these parks are those of survival in the grueling outdoors. I also love to research the long histories behind the creations of these parts and the people who have laid their mark here.

I’ve made the outdoors and traveling a large priority in my life. I spend a lot of time hiking and solo hikes are my favorite. I love all the seasons, winter being one of my favorite! I love to hike and snowboard in the wintertime and during the summers I love to take my dual sport motorcycle out onto the trails.

I’ve traveled to over 20 different countries and visited all 50 states in the U.S. , but realistically to travel everywhere is on my list.
