What Happened to Sophia Koetsier? Murchison Falls National Park
In October of 2015, 21 year old Dutch medical student Sophia Koetsier vanished inside Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda, a place with strong river currents and dangerous wildlife.
Search teams found some of Sophia’s personal belongings near the Nile, but no clear explanation for how or why she disappeared. The scene raised questions that were never fully answered, and early assumptions narrowed the investigation almost immediately.
