Manhunt: Hovenweep National Monument

In May of 1998 in the small town of Cortez Colorado, officer Dale Claxton was gunned down during a traffic stop. What unfolded next was reminiscent of an 1800s Wild West shoot out, the suspects fleeing and wounding other officers before disappeared into remote desert canyons, triggering one of the largest law-enforcement searches in Southwest history. Nine years later, several bodies were found, but definitive answers remain elusive.
